Republicans Abandoning Ship…Come Join the Party…the Independent American Party!

IAP News December 28, 2015

The Republicans have betrayed the American People again. Led by Speaker Paul Ryan, the House passed a $1.1 trillion tax bill that no one had time to read. It funds Planned Parenthood and the immigration of Muslim terrorists with local governments required to provide for their welfare. It also funds Obama’s amnesty. Many people have left the Republican Party, including Franklin Graham, the son of Billy Graham.

How long will it take the American People to get fed up with the Republicans and the Democrats? It makes no difference who is in power. Both parties in Nevada raised taxes and gave tax breaks to a Chinese company to build a car that may never be built. Neither major party is Pro-Life or Pro-Family. The Republicans removed their Pro-Life and Pro-Family Platform Planks in 2014.

It is time for people to consider changing parties and joining the Independent American Party (IAP).  Check out our Party platform at www.iapn.org. People from other states should consider the national Constitution Party of which the Independent American Party is the Nevada State affiliate.

IAPN News: Elko Gun Show Table Great Success!

Elko County Independent American Party had a table at the Gun Show May 10 and 11 at the Elko Fair Grounds. It was a real success! We gathered the names of 24 people who were interested in our party. We handed out over 110 IAP fliers with our IAP candidates and platform. The reception was amazingly friendly, perhaps better than we have ever experienced. We sold bumper stickers, buttons, copies of the Constitution and homemade cookies and candies. We brought in $225.25 and made $163.82 profit after expenses. We made friends with many of the vendors who live throughout Nevada. The IAP table was manned by Elko County Chairman Mike Smith and his wife Cheryl, Mary Ann Polish County Vice-Chairman and her husband Jeff, Janine Hansen County Secretary and Mike Hawkins. We will be doing the gun show again in the Fall. Our next project is a float in the Fourth of July Parade in Spring Creek. Submitted by Janine Hansen

New party members were registered. Many more people are possible members in the future. Our Candidates for office were featured in our handouts as well as the Party platform. We had people stop by because they liked David VanDerBeek for Governor. Candidates help the Party grow because they promote Party values and recruit members.

Wagner stated that he was a hiring manager for a company he had worked for. He stated that what counted for employment was "Can you do the job? I did not care if the person was the most popular in class, that was not important".

Chairman Wagner attended the Conservative Talk Lunch on Wednesday. He told the attendees to get active, do something. It was good to hear speeches so we know what is happening. IAP Treasurer Lynn Chapman spoke on The National Popular Vote. Most people were not aware of the issue.

The Reno Gazette had an article about the Independent American Party.

Independent American Party State Chairman, John Wagner, testified this morning, April 11, 2014 at the Nevada Legislative Building in Carson City. He testified on behalf of the IAP before the Nevada Division of Child and Family Services which held a hearing in Carson City and in Las Vegas.

The hearing was about whether or not to deny foster parents the right to have guns in their own homes. This effectively denies foster parents the Right to Keep and Bear Arms. This same proposed rule would allow police officers to carry firearms holstered on their persons when off-duty and in the presence of their foster children, thus creating a class of “super-citizens” for foster care purposes.

“Foster parents are just as responsible as any other parent. None of the current shootings have been by foster children. With recent violent acts, will we be forced next to outlaw knives, baseball bats, golf clubs and hockey sticks,” stated John Wagner, State Chairman Independent American Party.

“After you take away the Right to Keep and Bear arms from foster parents in order to make it equal, next government will have to take the right away Second Amendment rights from all parents and then from everyone else. This is a bad precedent,” continued Wagner.

“The state of Illinois recently passed a Concealed Carry Weapon law and since then, crime has gone down, even in Chicago. It is safer for all of us if more law-abiding citizens have guns in their homes, not fewer,” concluded John Wagner.

In addition, on Wednesday April 9, 2014, Chairman Wagner represented the Independent American Party at the Conservative Talk Lunch in Reno. He spoke about his own candidacy for State Assembly District 40 and handed out alerts to help Rancher Cliven Bundy who under assault by the BLM.
